Boiled eggs can be an incredibly delicious treats. You just need to get a little creative with your accompaniments.
Here’s the formula:
Boiled egg + sauce + flavour bomb = BEST SNACK EVER!
And even better they’re going to keep your body super satisfied with all that top quality protein.

- 1 boiled egg
- 2-3 teaspoons sauce see notes for ideas
- 1-2 teaspoons flavour bomb see notes for ideas
- Halve the eggs. Drizzle over sauce and sprinkle with your flavour bomb.

Italian = pesto + olives
Chinese = chilli crisp oil + cashews
Middle Eastern = hummus + dukkah
American = mayonnaise + everything bagle spice
Japanese = kewpie mayonnaise + furikake
Variations & Substitutions
different protein – serve these sauce + flavour bomb combos with meatballs or cooked chicken (see this quick pulled chicken recipe) or canned chickpeas or butter beans.
more substantial (carb lovers) – serve with pita or wraps or toast.
more substantial (low carb) – more eggs!
MORE vegetables – wrap your boiled eggs in cos or romaine lettuce leaves. Serve with and raw veg like carrot sticks, celery sticks, red bell peppers (capsicum), snow peas (mange tout), sugar snap peas.

eggs – will keep in the fridge for weeks or use for another meal.

Prepare Ahead
Yes! Just prep as per the recipe but keep the nuts or crunchy stuff separately. Leftovers will keep in the fridge for 1-2 weeks. Don’t freeze – the egg texture goes grainy.
